The Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) serves a vital role in ensuring fair, impartial, and legally sound administrative adjudication. Key Duties & Responsibilities Conduct administrative law hearings in person or via telephone, ensuring proceedings are fair, orderly, and compliant with applicable laws and regulations Question witnesses, manage testimony, control the course of hearings, and rule on evidentiary matters Create and maintain accurate and complete hearing records Perform legal research and issue timely, well-reasoned, and legally correct written decisions Provide clear procedural information to parties regarding the hearing process Assist participants in effectively navigating hearings while maintaining neutrality and judicial integrity Investigate and respond to customer complaints related to hearings or decisions Follow up to ensure that issued decisions are properly implemented Other duties as assigned.
